The Fish do stand out, even if it's black-white. Even though this piece is really cool, it's not all too original; black fish-white fish, yin-yang with fish, water background. People make all sorts of yin-yang-ish pictures all the time, not saying yours is terrible, its beautifully put. Even so, it kind of looks unfinished, like those it-would've-been-colored-but-I-didn't-get-to-it-yet pieces. Even if it doesn't 'blow the mind' to pieces, it automatically makes you think about traditions. To me, Asian traditions. Overall, great art, beautiful detail, but it has a sense of incompletion. Since this is only my second one, don't start hating.

Erm.. this is my first critique so go easy on me xD.
This piece of artwork is amazing! You clearly put a lot of effort into it. Although it is kind of hard to see the fish since it IS black and white. I think that it would be better if you added more color or made the fish more obvious. Besides those things, its fabulous. Theres so much detail in this, I really like how you made them show expression like humans do. Not saying that fish don't make expressions or anything like that.
The contrast is very good and the waves look so realistic...I wish I could draw like that. Anyways, overall you did a good job, just make sure you make the fish stand out more. ;)

this looks really good =D

except for the minor detail that it means bad luck if a koi fish swims downward on a tattoo ^^;
like a horseshoe should have the opening upwards >.>
